Hello friends,
October is shaping up to be an been an exciting month, with plenty of visitors to town and the sun shining! We have plenty to report, including a new committee and executive, some exciting upcoming training opportunities (in town) and heaps of other things going on. As usual, if you have an item you think would benefit our members, please email us and let us know.
October Networking
We are excited to be holding our next networking breakfast down at the Blue Bean Cafe in Hepburn Springs at 8am on Wednesday October 21. This month we are mixing it up a little, with the addition of some local music and speakers, as well as some great breakfast specials to enjoy while catching up with other business folk.
All the details are available here
2015/16 Committee
We are proud to announce the return of some familiar faces and the addition of several new ones to our committee.
Humbly, I am trying to fill the shoes of the wonderful Robyn Head, who has served us for several years on the committee and as Chairman. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Robyne for her time, her wisdom and her energy in the Chair role, and also to thank her for remaining on the committee as she is a great asset to the group and I am grateful for her guidance.
I’d also like to thank our former committee members – Terry & Andrea Holmes, David Reilly, Noelene Gration, Gina Lyons, Ian Esmore & Steve McKinley- for their energy and time and commitment.
Your 2015/16 committee members are:
Kate Buckland – Chair
Brett Rovere – Vice Chair
Donna Kelly – Secretary
Kyle Barnes – Treasurer
Denise Robinson – Minute Secretary
Robyne Head – Committee
Michael DeVincentis – Committee
Jenny Latta – Committee
Jo Thompson – Committee
Debbie Moses – Committee

As you can see, there are plenty of new faces, including the crew from The Local, who I would like to congratulate on their win at the Rural Press Club of Victoria’s 2015 Awards. The Local won Best Feature Series for its series of articles titled On The Land. Earlier this year The Local also won the Rotary Club of Daylesford’s 2015 Business of the Year and most recently the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival’s Parade’s Best Commercial Entry. Great achievements for these DHSBATA members.
Membership Renewals
We’ll be sending out renewal notices shortly to ensure membership is up to date, so please look out for those along with instructions on how to pay. If you know you are not paid up and would like to beat us to it, you can use this form to do so. Payment instructions are included, and you can advise of payment and return your form via email. Rather pay in person? You can do so at networking functions, or just call in to see Elicia at The Empress & Wolf (next to the chemist)
